Local recreational soccer games times and formats - Recreational soccer IS NOT governed by the formal rules of soccer. Where applicable, under rules and mandates set forth by US Youth Soccer and the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association, the rules for recreational soccer have been modified depending on the agre group of the players. The older players get, the closer play comes to the formal FIFA rules. The implementation of these local rules and mandates have been discussed and adopted by the presidents of all of our local Northeast Connecticut soccer leagues.
